Returns Policy

Your Right of Withdrawal

Under Dutch and EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. This is known as the cooling-off period (herroepingsrecht). The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), physically receives the goods. If you ordered multiple items in one order that are delivered separately, the 14-day period starts from the day you receive the last item.

How to Return

Step 1 — Notify us
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision before the 14-day period expires. You can do so by sending an email to info@booook-makers.com with a clear statement of your intention to return. You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but this is not obligatory. We will send you a confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal request by email.

Step 2 — Ship the item(s) back
After notifying us, you must return the Product(s) without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day you communicated your withdrawal. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Step 3 — Receive your refund
We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the original shipping cost (except for any additional cost if you chose a delivery method other than our standard option). The refund will be issued no later than 14 days after we receive the returned Product(s), using the same payment method you used for the original transaction via Stripe. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earliest.

Condition of Returned Items

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the Product. In practice, this means you may inspect the book as you would in a physical shop, but you should not damage it further, write in it, or remove any protective packaging such as shrink wrap.

Exceptions

Since we sell second-hand books, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies to all our products.

Defective or Incorrectly Described Items

If you receive a book that is significantly different from its description on the Website (for example, major damage or missing pages that were not mentioned), please contact us at info@booook-makers.com within a reasonable time. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs and offer a full refund or replacement at your choice (subject to availability).
